TNG meetings bring together like-minded individuals who are interested in free-market ideas. The TNG normally meets on the first Tuesday of the month (except August) from 6pm until 8pm. There is always a ten-minute talk (timed by an alarm clock) with "whoever interesting is in town". Past TNG speakers have included the Rt Hon. Michael Howard QC MP, the Rt. Hon. David Blunkett, Rt Hon. Michael Portillo MP, Andrew Neil, Boris Johnson MP, Matthew Parris (The Times), Stephen Twigg MP, Ivor Caplin MP, the Rt Hon Francis Maude MP, and Bill Emmott (former Editor of the Economist). Who can join the TNG? You can join the TNG if you're between 16 and 30. Membership is free of charge. Just enter your email address into the form here. Then go and check your email account: there will be a link you have to click to confirm your address. Videos from The Next Generation Boris Johnson MP speaking at The Next Generation

The Institute has speakers available for school visits, speaking to sixth form classes. A typical speech might look at the issues involved in world trade and development, concentrating on some of the views in popular currency which are not in fact correct.
If any school has a speakers' programme for its economics or politics classes, or its sixth form generally, and would like an Adam Smith Institute speaker to visit, please get in touch with us. We have a small budget to cover expenses. Contact us on info@adamsmith.org to arrange a suitable date.
Keep up-to-date with the latest events, reports and information from the Adam Smith Institute by joining our fortnightly email list. It's free and you can unsubscribe at any point. Just enter your email address here:
