The Adam Smith Institute are hosting a series of panel discussions and debates at the Conservative Party Conference 2019 that are free to attend for any Conservative Party Conference attendees. To find out more, email events@adamsmith.org
Airline deregulation and airport privatisation has substantially increased aviation industry competition, improving passenger choice, encouraging innovation, and reducing flying costs. This panel will expand on the gains made in the past and examine the newest issues surrounding competition within aviation infrastructure provision (such as Heathrow expansion), the benefits of auctioning landing and takeoff slots, and the future implications of drones and autonomous flying vehicles.
Speakers:
John Penrose MP
Carlton Brown, Chief Executive, Heathrow West
Nathan Stower, External Affairs Director, Virgin Airlines
Kathy Savitt, Board member, Boom Supersonic
Matthew Lesh, Head of Research, Adam Smith Institute (chair)
It's sure to be an interesting discussion, and we hope you'll be around to see it. We're hosting it inside the Secure Zone (so you'll need a conference pass) in the Chester Suite of the Midland Hotel. All of our other events will also be in the Chester Suite!
The event's free to attend, no need to RSVP, just turn up at 4:00pm.
